Annual Ice Fishing Event

  • Donnabeth Lippman Park 18 Chaffin Pond Road Windham, ME, 04062 United States (map)

Come join Sebago TU for some ice fishing on Chaffin Pond. This is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow friends, take in another side of the fishing season, and most importantly get the kids out on the ice for some winter fun!

In addition, Maine Audubon's Fish Lead Free initiative will be joining us for our ice fishing event. Maine state law bans the use of lead sinkers and unpainted lead jigs weighing less than an ounce and/or measuring under 2.5 inches in length. Although these restrictions do not include artifical lures, weighted line, weighted flies or painted jig heads we encourage anglers to try fishing entirely lead-free by using alternatives to lead tackle.

Maine Audubon will be collecting any unwanted lead tackle and offering lead-free alternatives in exchange. Bring at least one ounce of lead fishing tackle with you to get some lead-free alternatives to fish with.

Please RSVP at the link below so we have a sense of how many folks are joining us.
